Mr. Etan Savir comes to us with an impressive background, and he is ideally suited to lead the Yeshiva Boys’ secular program. A summa cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Princeton University in classics, Mr. Savir holds Master’s degrees in Greek and Latin literature as well as in mathematics. For the past thirteen years, he has been the chair of the mathematics department at the prestigious Garrison Forest School in Owings Mills, Maryland, and has 21 years of teaching experience. Mr. Savir is an active member of various educational associations, and has lectured widely on a range of educational issues. He is the recipient of multiple awards for his teaching and scholarship. In short, we are truly fortunate to have Mr. Savir join us, and we believe that he will help to continue and expand our tradition of educational excellence at the Yeshiva.
