  • The Yeshiva College of the Nation's Capital - YCNC Higher Education Program

    The Yeshiva Gedolah of Yeshiva of Greater Washington-Tiferes Gedaliah offers a Bachelor's in Talmudic Law degree through its fully accredited college program, The Yeshiva College of the Nation's Capital (YCNC). YCNC is accredited by the Association of Advanced Rabbinical and Talmudic Schools (AARTS) and licensed by the Maryland Higher Education Commission.  

    To earn this degree, a student must earn four years of Talmud study credits, three of which can be transferred from other accredited Yeshivos. Talmidim with a BTL degree have obtained admittance to many schools and graduate programs including:
    • George Washington University
    • Georgetown University
    • John Hopkins University
    • Columbia University
    • Law Schools
    • Medical Schools
    • Master's in Education
    • Master's in Special Education
    • Master's in Business Administration
    • Master's in Counseling

University of Maryland Global Campus Partnership

The University of Maryland Global Campus (UMGC formerly UMUC) offers a full range of undergraduate degree programs with a schedule that allows our talmidim to still learn a full 1st and 2nd seder in Yeshiva. YCNC has recently signed an articulation agreement with University of Maryland Global Campus, which has agreed to accept up to 67 of our credits, providing YWG talmidim with a significant head start in obtaining a college degree.

About

The Yeshiva of Greater Washington-Tiferes Gedaliah (YGW) is a community-based school on two campuses in Silver Spring, Maryland. We have separate Boys and Girls Middle and High School Programs; a Yeshivah Gedolah/College Program; a Kollel; and community-wide programming. YGW emphasizes the primacy of Torah while providing exceptional general studies instruction. Our students graduate with the passion, preparation, and priorities necessary for life, as well as a healthy sense of self and community.
